After months of anticipation, we’re excited to officially announce the launch of the Poker Patio public chip rooms beta! This is one of the most important updates we’ve ever released, as instead of winnings resetting each session, players can now accrue chips and use them between games. If you’ve been waiting for Poker Patio to feel more real, competitive, and rewarding, this update brings us one step closer.

Introducing Persistent Chip Rooms

With the chip system now live, your chips carry across games instead of resetting every table session. Chip games are designed to feel like a true persistent poker experience, while still keeping everything fun, fair, and accessible. Hop in the action: pokerpatio.com/lobbies?tab=chips

That means:

• You can build up a bankroll
• Choose tables strategically
• Track your progress over time
• Play with a more competitive feeling
• Get rewarded for consistent play
• Tables with less guest betting abuse

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Beta Reset and Chip Bonuses (Mid-February) ⚠️

Because this is a public beta, we’re using this period to test stability, collect feedback, and fine-tune gameplay before the full release. Full chip balance and chip stats will reset mid-February. But don’t worry, every player who participates will earn chip awards based on activity during the beta.

On full release, you’ll be awarded the following chip bonuses based on the number of hands you play in chip games during the beta (free rooms don’t count):

• 25+ hands: 10,000 chips
• 50+ hands: 20,000 chips
• 100+ hands: 40,000 chips
• 200+ hands: 60,000 chips
• 500+ hands: 100,000 chips
• 1,000+ hands: 200,000 chips

How the 4% Rake Works (Chip Rooms)

In chip rooms, we apply a 4% uncapped rake to all pots. This system helps keep chip games healthy and active, while still allowing players to build long-term stacks without feeling drained. 

How it works:

• Rake is collected at the end of each hand
• Uncalled bets are NOT included in rake collection
• If the total pot is 24 chips or below, NO rake is collected
• Rake always rounds down — no fractional chips are ever collected (Example: pot of 397 → rake is 15)
  

Hand Logs and Chip Logs (Full Tracking)

We’ve also added detailed tracking to make chip rooms more transparent and easier to verify.

Hand logs: All hands are tracked and displayed in a list. You can browse all recent hands quickly and click “view log” for a more detailed breakdown.

Chip logs: All table cash-ins / cash-outs, daily bonuses, and chip purchases are tracked.

Welcome Bonus and Daily Chips

To help everyone get started, we’ve added a welcome bonus plus daily login chips every time you sign in.

Welcome bonus: 10,000 chips

Daily bonus: 1,000 chips (*requires login to claim, any missed days will not carry over)

Introducing Waitlist Feature

We’re also introducing a waitlist system to keep tables running smoothly and make it easier to join full games. If a table is full, simply click the “Join Waitlist” button located on the in-game bet bar and you’ll be added as soon as a spot opens up.
