Tiered Rake Cap Structure
Rake is standard across all poker rooms, typically taken as a small commission by the game operator. In real money environments, it helps cover the cost of running the platform. On Poker Patio, since chips are virtual, rake simply removes chips from circulation to keep the in game economy balanced and help control long term inflation.
Below is our full rake structure by stake level. Rake caps prevent excessive rake on large pots, and rates decrease at higher stakes to keep gameplay fair.
4% rake capped at:
- 1/2 = 10bb
- 2/4 = 10bb
- 5/10 = 10bb
- 10/20 = 8bb
- 20/40 = 8bb
- 50/100 = 7bb
- 100/200 = 6bb
- 200/400 = 6bb
- 500/1000 = 5bb
- 1000/2000 = 5bb
- 2000/4000 = 4bb
- 5000/10000 = 4bb
- 10000/20000 = 4bb
- 20000/40000 = 4bb
Examples:
- 1/2 blinds: A 700 pot would rake 28 chips at 4%, but is capped at 10bb (20 chips).
- 10/20 blinds: A 10,000 pot would rake 400 chips at 4%, but is capped at 8bb (160 chips).
- 100/200 blinds: A 120,000 pot would rake 4,800 chips at 4%, but is capped at 6bb (1,200 chips).
